5/25/06 Vandalism report from Rusty
The vandals were busy last night, while I was
working with the guy from the gate I noticed that someone had thrown a piece of
brick through one of the windows. I removed the broken plexy-glass and installed
two old signs in it's stead. We can revaluate this project before we spend any
major money on window repairs.
The slave gate control timer was turned off, and
under certain circumstances it will produce the problem that has shown up with
Jane. There is no indication that the gates opened by themselves now or at any
time in the past. The general opinion is that driver error is the main problem,
It's too bad that we didn't have cameras on this week.

pool lights at the FE pool have been pried away from the pool sides. The chain
link fence has been disassembled again. The kitty litter from the ash trays has

LAW CORNER -
Motorized Scooters (Go-peds) and Mopeds
Is a driver license
required to operate mopeds or go-peds?
Yes, you are required to have
a valid Florida operator's driver license to operate a motor vehicle on any
public street or road in Florida. Gas operated scooters, mopeds, go-peds, and
electric scooters all meet the Driver License Law definition of motor vehicle.
Most of these motorized
vehicles were not originally designed for street use in regular traffic and for
safety reasons should not be operated on streets or in traffic. However, if they
are operated on a public street or road, a minimum of a regular Class E operator
license is required. The operator must be at least 16 years old to obtain a
Class E driver license.
